My Story

From a passion cultivated since childhood, Chris has evolved into a Licensed Massage Therapist/Bodyworker, specializing in breath and bodywork for both physical and mental well-being. His personal journey, from embracing a misguided approach to self-care to a life-changing realization in 2017, forms the foundation of his mission and sparked a commitment to share the power of self-care with others. With a background in martial arts, including 20+ years as a defensive tactics instructor, Chris draws parallels between the precision of a samurai sword and the need for individuals to be sharp and strong.

As a Massage Therapist/Bodyworker, Chris employs therapeutic, spa, athletic, and deep tissue modalities, along with acupressure and myofascial techniques, to eliminate waste, reduce stress, and enhance flexibility. At ANVIL Bodyworks, Chris's philosophy centers on each client being a 'precision instrument' requiring professional 'tuning.' A commitment to providing productive sessions with included tools, such as aromatherapeutic essential oils, hot packs, hot stones, cupping, and the Dolphin MPS, defines the ANVIL experience.

Chris encourages clients to adopt a ‘healthy self-interest’ and to expect ‘more’ from their massage, emphasizing that recuperation and rejuvenation are necessities, not luxuries. Chris is dedicated to helping individuals minimize unseen stress, take time to breathe, and stay sharp.

At ANVIL Bodyworks, the mission is clear—apply exacting pressure through bodywork to remove impurities and help clients get back to 'doing what they do,' taking care of those who depend on them. Self-care is not just a concept; it's a commitment to equipping individuals to take care of themselves so they can better care for others.

Expect more, experience more, and embark on a journey of wellness with Chris at ANVIL Bodyworks. Additionally, Chris is a certified ISSA Elite Trainer and has been active in the health and wellness space for over 25 years. An Army Veteran, former Supervisor with the Colorado Department of Corrections, and DoD contractor; Chris continually strives to strike harmony between the week and the weekend enjoying motorcycling, hiking, fishing, reading, and photography.
